I'm a media planner, designer, developer and 3D artist based in Kingston Upon Hull in the U.K. I love striving to do things better and get better results for my clients ethically... Read a little more about me

INFOSECDIARY is an online business that helps Information Security professionals keep abreast of information security events. The identity presents them as the trusted experts. The dotted symbol represents data and provides a link to the calender functionality of the business. Within the dots I.D. is hidden - identity being a key issue in Information Security.

The 3D Facility is my other business which provides 'Better animation on a budget'. The site strategy was to show large clear images of our previous work, deliver our proposition simply and clearly and to be strongly branded in order to help us become more memorable, something that any new company should strive to acheive.
Along with the web design, I produced the identity which consists of a simple, very neutral framework to allow the imagery to take the front stage.

The Sure Start Doula project links up needy pregnant women with trained birthing partners (Doulas). The leaflet was required to encourage volunteers to join the project and presents a clear, meaningful proposition with a bold call to action. The Doula project is a huge success and is thought that is will be rolled out nationally.
The leaflet was printed with Eco-friendly vegetable oil-based inks. Visit the Design & Print page for lots of information about my Eco-friendly design & print offerings.

This booking request form was produced for The Practise's website (case study further down the page). It demonstrates how even without visual design devices and styling, pure Typography can be used to present clearly usable and aesthetically pleasing media. You should retain a consistently professional face no matter how small the subject matter.
Print on demand is a very effective way to provide sustainable communications. Read more about it on the Design & Print page

Synergy provide business and maketing consultancy with a focus on strong research. I produced the logo variants above to help my clients decide to what degree they felt most comfortable with the research theme driving the identity. The waveforms logo (top) is subtle and mainly focuses on the meaning of Synergy - the blots logo (bottom) very strongly embodies research through colour, typeface, the dispersing liquid blots symbol and the use of the BMC device which links to scientific formula.

The Wyke Pact (now dispanded) were responsible for helping local community groups to access european funding for their projects. This logo was developed to present a possitive face, show the grassroots nature of the Pact and to clearly present their proposition "Supporting Local Projects".

This is an example of how even under a ridiculously short timescale, a clear and effective piece of work can still be developed. The site was needed to handle booking requests - refered from a piece of magazine promotion - and the deadline to go live with the site was just 3 days. Fierce planning and development commenced and within the allotted timescale the fully functional website was indeed launched.
This isn't an accessible website as it was produced before I became profficient at such things. It is a good example however of time critical web development.

Aptrol write software which helps increase the efficiency of industrial equipment. As Aptrol was a one man band with a credible amount of industry experience, we decided that the logo should present a truthful face of a small but highly competent business which was very easy to work with. The project (including logo and stationary design) was developed and delivered within a 2 week timescale.

Chance Café were looking to gain more customers and requested a promotional leaflet. In planning we realised that - as the shop-front doesn't make obvious the nature and benefits of the business - we needed to develop a leaflet that clearly stated the offering, detailed the wide range of ethical products sold and showed the propects qvery clearly where it was within the local community.
The leaflet was printed with Eco-friendly vegetable oil-based inks. Visit the Design & Print page for lots of information about my Eco-friendly design & print offerings.
I (along with Spotted Duck) donated this website to support the Hedon Against GM campaign in our local area. The website was produced and functional in just over one week and allows visitors to sign a petition online, join the campaign teams mailing list and download promotional material to promote the cause. We helped make the petitions management easier by feeding all details into a database that can be remotely accessed by the campaign team.
The website has helped the campaign team harvest petitions at the time of writing. The website has been pivotall in gaining publicity for the campaign locally, nationally and even internationally.
